I did the Leslie Sansone 4 mile Walk Away the Pounds ~Super Challenge this morning.
I have not done such an intense workout since before getting pregnant with my second last child so I am HAPPY and feeling the burn.
I think what the greatest thing is that I did it with seven children in the house....they all (except the baby) played with each other so well. I had a snack of cut up watermelon ready and told my eldest when to put it on the table. Having the snack ready to go was the real saver.
I don't think I have shared it here but my goal in the spring is to start training to run 5 km. I have never been a runner but this is just something I want to try....maybe I will hate it but at least I can say I have done it.

On My Own
I will be on my own for the rest of week....my husband is going out of town to see family. This is the first time since the baby was born that he won't be here. Six of my own children plus the Daycare children.....oh my! Wish me much patience.
I went out shopping yesterday and stocked up on groceries.....lots of good fresh fruits and vegetables.
Bonus**A Leslie Sansone DVD I had bought via e-bay arrived yesterday also....so I am ready for this week.

Week Three Weigh in
I expected so much more from this weeks weigh in. I eat completely healthy, drank more than 2 liters of water daily and exercised 3 days this week but because of some wonderful bloggers out there I have a positive outlook on this lifestyle still.
It is so easy to become discouraged....I want to see all the extra weight I am carrying gone.....NOW.....but it doesn't work that way I know. Thank you to those bloggers that see the good in baby steps and share it on your blog you helped me over this hurdle last night and I am 'happy' to report this morning I lost 1.4lbs this week. I am officially in 'onderland' and never to see a dreaded 2 at the beginning of my weight again.
To date I have lost 9.2lbs in 3 weeks.
I have also lost 2 inches off my waist, my hips and my bust. Total inches lost is 6.
I am pleased with all this and need to remind myself I am doing this one last time so I want to do it right.

The Difference
So why is losing weight this time going to be different?
My husband and I feel that our family is complete now and this is the difference.
In my early 20's I lost 70+ lbs and maintained that loss until I had three miscarriages in a row. With each miscarriage I put on 15lbs from emotional eating putting me right back to where I was as a teenager. I have since had 4 more children (six in total) but never had lost all the weight from the miscarriages.
I am now focused on losing the weight again and since we are not planning on having anymore children I know that I can keep the weight off this time for good.
I also am determined to be a good example for my girls. They need a healthy mom!

Week Two Weigh In
As anyone who reads this blog can tell I am not much of a writer but I will be at least letting you all know once a week what happened at the scale.
My life is busy like so many of you and it is only going to get busier as we start back to homeschooling tomorrow after a 3 week break so any time I can sit at the computer I will be spending it reading all of the wonderful blogs on my blog list.
When I sit here reading about all of your lives let me just tell you I CAN relate to a lot of you. The ups and down of losing weight and the battles that are faced within and without are SO real but SO worth the it. I am personally feeling like I can win this battle over food for good with the help of the Lord, my family and the little groups of women that I am associated with.
This week has looked like this....I had my BIL here for 5 days and he brought with him my favorite chocolates, cookies and then of course we had to make big breakfasts and suppers but in it all I maintained control. I exercised 5 days this week and eat healthy each day.
My biggest accomplishment thus far in my journey is I have went 14 days now without eating any sweet/dessert. I have challenged myself to do this until my birthday in March.
So it is game on!
The scale says today that I am 201.2lbs......that is a 2.4 lbs loss this week.

Group Motivation
Last night the group of women that I am linked up with on this weight loss journey met for the first time to establish what, how and why we are all doing this.
We decided to have a 'Biggest Loser Reward' at the end of a 21 week competition that will go like this. We are all contributing $6.00 to a pot, we each come up with what our own personal reward would be that is approximately $36.00 and the person with the highest percentage of weight loss on the first weigh-in in June will receive the pot money to buy their reward. Also in the pot money will be any money that we had to pay for being up in weight. One dollar for each pound if a person gains.
I am excited to be a part of this group. I think we are all going to do well because we are motivated to keep each other going in the tough times and to share the joy in the journey.
We also partnered up with one person in the group that we are personally responsible/accountable to. So I think I will be calling on her to get together for some workouts because this is a hard one for me to make sure I take the time to do.
I am off now to do the Walk away the Pounds 3 mile walk with my 9 year old.
